Ilia State University (ISU) and the laboratory for innovations, mobile and computer games (GameLab Iliauni), within the Global Entrepreneurship Week, will hold a creathon "from board games to business" on 14-20 November."

Within the project, different groups the participants of which are planned to be pupils, will compete by creating innovative and unique board games within limited time. The event involves a training aiming to improve the participants' skills and competencies and the ability to formulate successful project prototypes within the competition. Board games serve as the foundation for computer games and are a good mixture for developing logical reasoning and the ability to perceive and comprehend. As regards other types of games, they develop logic, strategic planning, mathematical skills, imagination, etc.

Students who are the members of Iliauni Young Researchers' Clubs Network will be enabled to participate in the Creathon.

Creathon "from board games to business" comprises different stages :

The first stage involves a training on developing the idea of creating board games, planning, documentation and creating prototypes. The same day, the participants will be given the task, will be grouped in different teams and, by using the information received at the training, will try to draw up a conceptual model of the game, brief presentation and an action plan.
At the final stage of the project, the creators of the  best  game will be announced, and with support of Iliauni GameLab specialists, will be enabled to refine the initial prototype, define their business plan and improve product designs within the Iliauni pub lab.
