On 2 May 2019, at 16:00, Julius Tsai, Cultural Affairs Officer at Embassy Tbilisi will deliver a public lecture Becoming a Global Learner at ISU. 

Julius Tsai serves as Cultural Affairs Officer at Embassy Tbilisi.  He previously served in the Operations Center - the State Department’s 24/7 crisis and communications center in Washington, D.C.; at the U.S. Embassy in Manila; and at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.  Julius speaks Mandarin, Taiwanese, French, German, Japanese, Tagalog, and Georgian; he has also studied Classical Chinese, Biblical Greek, and Latin.  Before joining the Foreign Service Julius was a professor of East Asian religions at Temple University, San Diego State University, and Texas Christian University. He holds a B.A. in History from Swarthmore College, an M.Div. in Theology from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in East Asian Religions from Stanford University.
