Ilia State University (ISU), Cleveland State University and Tbilisi Regional Development Agency launched the University and Research and Entrepreneurial Skills Project funded by the U.S. Department of State through the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The objective of this project is to encourage entrepreneurship, inspire university research and commercialization, foster university-industry collaboration, and create entrepreneurship ecology within universities and the region.

Ilia State University and its International Doctoral School are pleased to announce that the Vice President for Research at Cleveland State University Dr. Jerzy Sawicki and the Director of the Technology Transfer Office for Cleveland State University Jack Kraszewski are visiting Ilia State University on the 24th of April to conduct seminars for Ilia State University young researchers and PhD students, faculty and staff.

The overarching topic will be Academic Research, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The seminar sessions will cover in particular these subjects:

  • Technology transfer strategies, practices and examples in academic environment;
  • Mechanisms to grow research and entrepreneurship;
  • Partnerships with industry and the way they are developed;
  • Value proposition and Value creation that enables young researchers/PhDs to more effectively promote their applied research results.
