


The presentation of the joint project of Iliauni Cyber Laboratory Unilab and Gurjaani Library and Museum Union was conducted

A conclusive meeting of the joint project of Ilia State University and Gurjaani Library and Museum Union was held at the Technopark of Gurjaani.
The employees of the cyber laboratory Unilab of Ilia State University conducted intensive trainings in basic computer skills for 150 students from Gurjaani as part of the project.
The elective module included nineteen 2-hour lecture-seminars.
25-35 participants were selected from each village of the municipality through a competition, on the basis of the review of applications by the union at the first stage of the project. The participants registered for one of the following elective training modules in accordance with their interest at the second stage:
- Graphic Design;
- Narrative design (chatbots);
- Frontend development (HTML, CSS);
- WordPress development;
- Python development.
Each participant of the course held a final presentation and received a certificate confirming completion of the Unilab basic course at the conclusive meeting of the project.
The conclusive meeting was opened by Professor Nino Doborjginidze, the Rector of Ilia State University. It was attended by Zurab Utiashvili, Mayor of Gurjaani Municipality and Leri Gelenava, Deputy Mayor.

For three months, the cyber laboratory Unilab of Ilia State University conducted trainings for 150 students of Gurjaani municipality, who attended online lessons and practical exercises. “We had to hold a presentation. We had to choose one of five topics and I worked on the design of the book. I am also in the course of designers and I presented 6 works in total. We were presented with certificates at the presentation” - Ana Getiashvili, student of the 2nd public school in Gurjaani
“My chatbot has 315 nodes. I made it on Animachatbotics, the only Georgian language site, and named it “Avia”. For some reason, I believe that it is an abbreviated name of an airliner. The chatbot talks about airplanes” - Nika Mchedlidze, student of the first public school in Gurjaani
