A meeting was held between Nino Doborjginidze, the Rector of Ilia State University, and Oswaldo Biato Junior, the Ambassador of Brazil, on October 25. The meeting was also attended by Leonardo Rodríguez, the Ambassador's Advisor and the Cultural Attaché.

It was planned to sign a memorandum of cooperation between Ilia State University and the Embassy of Brazil at the meeting. The parties will prepare a joint application so that Ilia State University can host a Portuguese language lecturer with the support of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the 2023-2024 academic year
