Within the framework of the agreement between the Governments of Georgia and Latvia, the Latvian Government announces scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year for studies at Latvian higher education institutions. The scholarships are available to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students, as well as to young researchers and academic staff.

The scholarship may be awarded for studies in a chosen field at one of Latvia’s higher education institutions.

Scholarship Amount

• €500 per month for Bachelor’s students
• €600 per month for Master’s students
• €700 per month for PhD students

To apply for the scholarship, applicants are required to complete the application form and submit the necessary documents via the following link.

The application deadline is 1 April 2026.

Within the framework of the Latvian Government Scholarship, students, researchers, and academic staff may also participate in summer schools.

The required documentation for obtaining a summer school scholarship must be submitted directly to the organizers of the respective summer school. The organizers will inform applicants about the results of the scholarship selection process.

The summer school scholarship amounts to €1,000.
