Kirkland Fellowship Programs for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
Exchange Programs
The Lane Kirkland Foundation offers fully funded research and study programs at leading universities in Poland to specialists and researchers from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia across various fields.
The study program includes a two-semester academic visit at one of four academic centers in Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, or Lublin) and a minimum two-week professional internship in public, private, or non-governmental organizations. The grant covers travel, accommodation, and insurance costs, as well as a monthly stipend.
The program is open to experts holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in various fields, up to 40 years of age, with at least two years of professional experience.
The application deadline is March 1, 2026.

Kirkland Research Program
The program is open to researchers up to 45 years of age who hold a PhD and occupy an academic position. Candidates must have a minimum of four years of research experience.
The program funds a one-semester research visit to research centers in Poland. The grant covers travel, accommodation, and insurance costs, as well as a monthly stipend.
