


Innovation and Technology Camp for Students

Ilia State University will arrange the Innovation and Technology Camp for students in August-September in two groups (the first group: August 6-13; the second group: August 31 - September 7) in Batumi with the organization of the Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency within the framework of the World Bank project “National Innovation Ecosystem”.
The camp is intended for students of X-XII grades. 75 students selected through competition from all regions of Georgia will participate in each group.
All expenses related to participation in the camp (accommodation, food, transportation, educational materials, etc.) will be fully financed.
The aim of the camp
The aim of the camp is the popularization of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) fields among students.
Participants of the camp will learn about the issues of technology and natural sciences issues, which will help them in choosing a career.
What will I learn?
For 8 days students will:
- listen to popular science lectures on artificial intelligence, robotics, drones, civil engineering, design, biochemistry and astrophysics;
- work on programming Arduino, robots and drones;
- learn about entrepreneurial and startup approaches of modern technology;
- conduct fun scientific experiments;
- participate in various engineering competitions.

- Avtandil Mghebrishvili, head of the Tech Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Center of Ilia State University;
- Davit Chechelashvili, tech entrepreneur, marketing and business development specialist;
- Gia Javakhishvili, associate professor of Astronomy at Ilia State University;
- Elena Zhuravliova, associate professor of Biochemistry at Ilia State University;
- Tini Mamuchashvili, manager of Zoomout of Ilia State University.
When will the camp be held?
The camp will be organized in two groups.
First group: August 6 - 13, 2022
Second group: August 31 - September 7, 2022
In the registration form, the applicant can choose the desired date of participation in the camp from the suggested options.
