The Passau International Centre for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (PICAIS) announces a call for applications for Research-in-Residence Fellowships and Academic Event Funding at the University of Passau, Germany, open to international academics as well as promising early-career postdoctoral researchers.
1. Call for Proposals: Funding of PICAIS Events at the University of Passau, Germany
The Passau International Centre for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (PICAIS) invites applications for funding academic events, including conferences, lecture series, symposia, research seminars, summer schools and workshops. The call is open to all disciplines, topics and methodological traditions, with preference given to interdisciplinary events and proposals involving early career researchers and international speakers. Funding may cover travel and accommodation expenses for up to three external speakers, coffee breaks, conference materials and student assistants.

2. PICAIS Research-in-Residence Fellowships at the University of Passau, Germany
The Passau International Centre for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (PICAIS) invites applications for Research-in-Residence Fellowships for internationally established researchers and postdoctoral researchers for research stays of 2–6 months at the University of Passau. The programme is open to all disciplines, research topics and methodologies, with preference given to interdisciplinary research and projects aligned with the University’s research profile.
