On September 29 at 20:00, Ilia State University will host its Welcome Party for first-year students.

Student life and lasting friendships often begin with a first meeting. The new academic year marks the beginning of a special chapter in your life – one filled with new people, experiences, ideas, and opportunities to discover.

The tradition of education through the way of Ilia continues. At the University, the learning process is based not only on acquiring knowledge, but also on sharing it – through interaction, lively discussion, collaboration, and the exploration of new ideas. It is this exchange that creates a shared environment of knowledge and innovation at the University.

One person’s knowledge is power; shared knowledge is unstoppable power.

Official Opening of the Event

The event will be officially opened by Ilia State University Rector, Professor Nino Doborjginidze, and the Deans of the University’s Schools, who will welcome students and congratulate them on the beginning of this new stage of their lives.

Traditionally, the ceremony will also feature an award for the first-year student who achieved the highest results in the Unified National Examinations and was selected as the winner of Iliauni’s scholarship program.

Students and guests will find an engaging educational and entertainment program at the event, including interactive programs, fun quizzes and memorable gifts, information spaces about the learning process and student life, photo spaces, sports games, national dishes prepared by Iliauni’s international students and, most importantly, a pleasant environment for getting to know the University and making friends. 

Iliauni Student Clubs will welcome students:

• Science, Technology and Engineering

Student clubs of Civil and Construction Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Architecture, Robotics, and Natural Sciences

• Languages and Cultures of the World

Student clubs of Korean, Japanese, Chinese Culture, and German Language

• Interests, Hobbies and Creativity

Student clubs of Tourism, Photography, Board Games, and Literature

• International Student Space

Intercultural Unity Student Club, Iliauni Student Club - MedSync 

Various themed tents will also be presented:

Student Affairs Department Tent – Students will receive comprehensive information about the learning process, employment opportunities, seasonal schools, sports events, and university life.

Iliauni Student Self-Government and Initiative Groups Tent – Students will learn about their activities and enjoy quizzes and gifts.

FabLab – Students will have the opportunity to explore Iliauni’s Industrial Innovation Laboratory, which helps students interested in technology with career development and the implementation of innovative projects.

Argus – Students will learn about the electronic system for planning studies and educational and technical processes.

Library – Students will learn everything about the reading halls and services.

International Exchange Programs Tent – Students will learn more about studying at leading universities in Europe and around the world and gaining international experience.

Iliauni Field Camps – Students will learn about Iliauni’s research bases and opportunities to participate in seasonal schools.

Sports Games – Students will participate in various sports entertainment activities and competitions.

The ceremony will conclude with a concert.
