Summer School - Narratives as Research and Communication Tools: An Application to Academia

News

Applications are open for the Summer School of the Narrative Research Network, jointly organized by the Education Research Centre and the Cultural and Social Anthropology Research Center at Ilia State University, in partnership with HT2S at Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, with support from the French Georgian University.

The School will take place in Tbilisi, at Ilia State University during June 22–26, 2026.

This five-day interdisciplinary program brings together MA and PhD students, postdocs, and early-career scholars in the social sciences to explore academic spaces - universities, libraries… — through the lens of narrative. Combining hands-on fieldwork, and AI-assisted creative writing and translation, participants will develop new ways of understanding and communicating academic life while building an international research community.

Participation in the summer school is free of charge. Financial support is available and may include full or partial travel grants and free accommodation (shared double rooms).

Application deadline: April 15, 2026

Submit CV, short abstract (max. 500 words), and motivation letter (max. 800 words) to: Ed.research@iliauni.edu.ge, autumn.school.fgu@gmail.com.
