The Ernst Mach Grant – worldwide offers Master’s students, PhD students and postdocs the opportunity to conduct research in Austria for 1–9 months in a wide range of academic fields.

Eligibility criteria:

• Applicants must be 35 or younger (born on or after 1 October 1991);
• Applicants must have very good knowledge of English and/or German;
• Applicants must not have lived, studied or conducted research in Austria during the six months prior to the grant.

Funding: €1,300/month, plus assistance with arranging accommodation and health insurance. Eligible applicants from specified developing countries may also receive a travel subsidy of up to €1,200.
