WELCOME EVENT for Iliauni First-Year Students!

Events

Ilia State University will hold its Freshmen Welcome Ceremony on September 26, at 20:00, in the building E Courtyard.

The ceremony will be opened by Nino Doborjginidze, Rector of Ilia State University, and Ketevan Darakhvelidze, Head of Administration, who will congratulate students on starting a new chapter of their lives.

Traditionally, we will award the first-year students who have successfully passed the Unified National Exams and won Iliauni scholarship programs.

Students and guests will be greeted with an engaging program that includes educational and entertaining activities, interactive quizzes, memorable gifts, information spaces about study and student life, photo zones, sports games, traditional dishes prepared by Iliauni’s international students, and a warm atmosphere to get to know the university and make new friends.

The event will be co-hosted by Iliauni’s student clubs, including:

  • Japanese Culture Student Club
  • Board Games Club
  • Photography Student Club
  • Psychology Club
  • Theater Club
  • Tourism Student Club
  • Law and Liberty Student Club
  • Publicity Student Club

 In addition, several departments and initiatives will have their own spaces:

Department of Student Affairs - participants can ask questions and receive information on academic matters, career, seasonal schools, sports activities, and campus life.

Cyber Laboratory Unilab - visitors can enjoy interactive quizzes, send a letter to their future selves to be received in four years, and guess what’s inside the “mystery box.”

UniPodcast “Say to Remember” - attendees will have the opportunity to take part in the podcast, answer questions, and get memorable gifts.

FabLab - an introduction to Iliauni’s industrial innovation laboratory, supporting students interested in technology and helping them in their career development and innovative projects.

Argus - a chance to explore Argus, the main electronic system for academic and educational processes.

Library - the Iliauni Library booth will provide information on reading rooms and available services.

International Exchange Programs - an overview of study opportunities and international experience at leading universities across Europe and the world.

Iliauni Camps - information about seasonal schools and camps, opportunities to travel to Iliauni’s field bases, and make new friends.

Science Café - discussions on topics such as building a successful tech career, the role of the humanities in the AI era, and the influence of science on everyday life.

Sports - fun sport activities and competitions will also be part of the program.
