USAID and Ilia State University Joint Campus Lecture: “Conversation with Pollsters”


On 21 December, a Campus Lecture “Conversation with Pollsters” will be held by Ilia State University (ISU) in partnership with USAID Georgia.

The aim of the lecture is to give the students the opportunity to meet international researchers and leading research organizations in Georgia and discuss the methodological and ethical standards of the pre-election survey and exit polls.

The participants of the Campus discussion include: Analysis and Consulting Group (ACT), the Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC), the Institute for Social Research and Analysis (ISSA) and ANOVA, Rector of Ilia State University, Giga Zedania, Representatives of the USAID Georgia Mission, Former President of the US Public Opinion Research Association (AAPOR) and World Public Opinion Research Association (WAPOR), Professor Michael Traugott and former President of the American Public Opinion Research Association (AAPOR) Professor Peter Miller.

The lecture is supported by USAID's Democratic Governance Initiative in Georgia (USAID GGI).

The conference will be held remotely via zoom and will be streamed on the ISU Facebook page.
