On November 20, at 18:00, Ilia State University and the independent research institute RISS will host a public lecture titled "Sanctions Imposed against Russia: Assessing Progress and Challenges" by Tom Keatinge, Director of the Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI). The event will take place at Book House Ligamus.

RUSI is the world’s oldest and the UK’s leading defense and security think tank. It serves as a prominent platform for global leaders to engage in discussions on defense and security. RISS, a Georgian institute specializing in defense and security issues, collaborates with RUSI.

Tom Keatinge is the founding Director of the Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies (CFCS) at RUSI, where his research focuses on matters at the intersection of finance and security. Currently, he serves as a specialist adviser on illicit finance to the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee. Keatinge holds a master’s degree in International Security from King’s College.
