Marking 100 Years Since the 1924 Uprising − Student Panel Discussion

Events

On January 8, at 19:00, a student panel discussion marking the 100th anniversary of the 1924 Uprising will be held at the Book House Ligamus. The event is organized by the Master's Program in Modern History of Georgia at Ilia State University.

The opening will be delivered by Ilia State University Rector, Professor Nino Doborjginidze.

The moderator will be Alexander Mikaberidze, a professor at Louisiana State University and a visiting lecturer in the Master's Program in Modern History of Georgia at Ilia State University.

Participants in the discussion include:

  • Giorgi Chkadua, graduate of the Master's Program in Modern History of Georgia at Ilia State University, PhD student at Iliauni;
  • Ninutsa Zakalashvili, graduate of the Master's Program in Modern History of Georgia at Ilia State University, master's student at the University of Glasgow;
  • Ketevan Akhobadze, student of the Master's Program in Modern History of Georgia at Ilia State University;
  • Mariam Chincharauli, PhD student at Tbilisi State University.
