Ishizuka Hideki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, will deliver the public lecture' Comparative Study of Japanese and Georgian Cultures' on April 4th at 15:00 at Ilia State University, Auditorium G 106.

The lecture will be dedicated to the cross-cultural parallels between Japan and Georgia illustrating the unique features of Japan and the mutual values of two countries. Based on the research of ‘Vepkhistkaosani’ by Shota Rustaveli, the audience will learn about the complexities and nuances of both Japanese and Georgian cultures.

The lecturer will explore the similarities between Rustaveli epos and classical Japanese poems in details and will compare famous Japanese historical figures with the characters of ‘Vepkhistkaosani’.
