UNILAB WILL CONDUCT TRAININGS IN FUTURE PROFESSIONS FOR THE 150 RESIDENTS OF GURJAANI MUNICIPALITY

UniLab, cyber laboratory of Ilia State University, will conduct trainings in future professions for the 150 residents of Gurjaani municipality, who will be selected through competition.

The project, which is an initiative of the Gurjaani Library and Museum Union, will be conducted in two stages.
In the first stage, 25-35 participants from each village of the municipality will be selected through a competition by the union, based on the review of applications - the first stage of the project will have 150 participants as a whole, who will be divided in small groups and given a 12-hour intensive training (six 2-hour lectures-seminars) in basic computer skills by the UniLab cyber laboratory.

At the end of the course, each participant will give a final presentation and receive a certificate confirming completion of the UniLab basic course.

In the second stage, participants will register for one of the following elective training modules according to their interest:

  • Narrative Design (chatbots);
  • Frontend Development (HTML, CSS);
  • WordPress Development;
  • Python Development.

The elective module consists of nineteen 2-hour lecture-seminars, which will also be conducted by the UniLab cyber laboratory.

Each participant will hold a presentation of the final project at the end of the stage. They will be assessed by a jury composed of experts in the field of technology and the authors of the best projects will be awarded with a certificate of successful completion of the project along with the acquisition of new knowledge.
