UniKino Opened - best movies for students
On June 1 Ilia Chavchavadze University launched its own cinema club UniKino. From now on, every Friday students will have an opportunity to be exposed to world's greatest cinematographic masterpieces. In his greeting speech Mr. Gigi Tevzadze the Rector of the University mentioned that the cinema club will help students unfold their life vision and broaden general knowledge. Students will also be able to take part in movie selection sharing their ideas through unikino@iliauni.edu.ge.
Unikino started with the show of French chef d'oeuvre Persepolis, the animated film nominated for an Oscar in 2007. Since its release the film succeeded to gain 15 International prizes. The film directed by Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Strapi reflects autobiography of Iranian woman whose life was affected and changed by Iranian Revolution. Chiara Masrtoianni and Catherin Deneuve are featured as voice actors in the original French version.
