“Role of Poland in the European Union” – Ambassador of Poland Delivers a Public Lecture

On November 25 Ambassador of Poland in Georgia Mrs. Ursula Doroshevska delivered a public lecture on the "Role of Poland in the European Union" at the Ilia Chavchavadze State University.

During the meeting with university students and professors the Ambassador discussed urgent issues of Polish-Georgian bilateral relations and perspectives of "Eastern Partnership" cooperation. Ursula Doroshevska also covered Russia-Georgian conflict.

Since Mai 1, 2004 Poland is the member of the European Union. Ursula Doroshevska is an expert at the University of Warshaw and the field of her concentration is Eastern Europe. Starting from 2008 she serves as the Ambassador of Poland in Georgia. Since 90ies Mrs. Doroshevska works as a free lance journalist. She has an experience of travelling in the former Soviet Union and publishing of articles and research in Polish and international press. She was actively involved in different NGO projects as an author. These projects were dedicated to the development of democracy and conflict resolution in the South Caucasus and Ukraine.
