Researcher Lia Tsverava was awarded for Outstanding Scientific Achievement by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia

Ph.D. Lia Tsverava, researcher at the Institute of Chemical Biology of Ilia State University, was awarded for Outstanding Scientific Achievement by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia in the field of natural Sciences.

In July, 2012 Shota Rustaveli Natioanal Science Foundation of Georgia announced the call that aimed to encourage young scientists to be successful and distinguished in their scientific endeavors, field development within academic competencies and community activities.

As a result of the competition, in which young scientists from all over Georgia participated, Lia Tsverava was awarded the prize for outstanding scientific work in the field of natural sciences.

Ph.D.Lia Tsverava was also selected from Georgia to participate in the 70th meeting of the Lindau Nobel Laureates Meeting in 2020. The event was founded in 1951 and aims to connect Nobel Laureates and young scientists around the world to exchange views and ideas. In 2020, meeting was held remotely and was attended by about 70 Nobel Prize winners and about 600 young scientists.
