Public Lecture of Professor Michael Vickers

On Monday, April 12 Museum of the Ilia State University hosted a public lecture of Prof. Michael Vickers from Oxford: "Galatea, Aphrodite or Sappho? A marble statue in Oxford and her artistic progeny". During the lecture professor presented analysis of the marble statues which are kept at Oxford.

Michael Vickers, who was invited to Georgia by the Oxbridge Society, and is the archaeology and philosophy professor at the Oxford University, visits Georgia and holds public lectures at different universities since twelve years.
