Portable Computers Awarded to 30 Best New Graduate Students
On Thursday, January 14th Ilia State University hosted a solemn ceremony of awards for the 30 best new graduate students. 30 graduate students who major in different fields were handed over portable computers. They all have been accepted to the graduate school with the top ratings. Establishment of good learning environment is one of the priorities of the Ilia State University which is oriented towards research and creation of new knowledge.
Ceremony was attended by the Rector of the Ilia State University, Gigi Tevzadze and the Director General of the Basisbank, Zurab Tsikhistavi. The latter personally handed over the portable computers to the best graduate students.
This is not the first joint project of the Ilia State University and Basisbank. Every year Basisbank covers study costs of the best graduate students from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. Besides, in accordance with the memorandum between the Ilia State University and Basisbank, the Bank is responsible for providing university students with internships and working places.
