In the Youth Tech Clubs Network a registration of vocational educational institutions of the regions has started.

Within the framework of the project, 4 vocational colleges will be selected at this stage.

About the project

The project is implemented with the financing and support of the "European Union for Georgia", with the joint cooperation of Ilia State University, Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), ICT cluster and Innovative Education Foundation (IEF).

During the course of the project, Coding and Tech Entrepreneurial Clubs will be created in a total of 90 schools and 10 vocational educational institutions in the regions of Georgia. In the first and second stages of the project, a total of 54 schools and 6 vocational educational institutions were selected, and during this time, students are trained in various technological directions.

The project does not envisage additional technical equipment of vocational colleges. Within the framework of the project, the vocational college will receive the training materials and curriculum necessary for the selected club, special training for creating and managing the club, the work of the head teacher of the club and, if necessary, the attached mentor will be compensated.

The vocational college technology clubs will participate in meetings with tech companies, employment forums, competitions and hackathons, which will be held at the Innovation Centers of the Technology and Innovation Agency.

Who can join the network of youth technology clubs?

The vocational educational institutions operating in the following regions can join the network of youth technological clubs: Adjara, Imereti, Kakheti, Kvemo Kartli, Samegrelo, Shida Kartli, Guria, Racha-Lechkhumi.

To participate in the project, the vocational educational institution must have a proper computer class and Internet.

The vocational educational institutions will have close cooperation with the nearby centers of innovations and technologies of Georgia.

How should a vocational educational institution become a project participant?

To join the network of youth technology clubs, a vocational educational institution must fill out an application form no later than December 5, 2022.

After the review of the applications, the vocational educational institutions will be notified of the answer to the email address they provided no later than December 10, 2022.
