Iliauni Student Ana Barbakadze was awarded by Kosta Khetagurov Scholarship

Ana Barbakadze, a first-year student at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Ilia State University, was awarded the Kosta Khetagurov Scholarship.

The Kosta Khetagurov Scholarship was established in 2018, by the initiative of the Office of the State Minister and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. The scholarship is designed for students from the occupied territories who show the best results in the Unified National Examinations.

Ana Barbakadze graduated from secondary school in the village of Sinaguri, Java district of the occupied Tskhinvali region. She successfully passed the Unified National Examinations in the territory controlled by the central government.

Tea Akhvlediani, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, awarded Ana a scholarship and a certificate for the best results in the Unified National Examinations.

The award ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rector of Ilia State University, Professor Nino Doborjginidze, who presented symbolic gifts to Ana from the University and congratulated her on her success.

Ana Barbakadze will receive 300 GEL per month for four academic years. It is noteworthy that he is the only student this year to have received this award.
