Foreign Minister of Austria at the Ilia State University
Foreign Minister of Austria donated to Ilia State University the exhibition “Bertha von Suttner – Life for Peace”.
On June 24, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Austria Dr. Michael Spindelegger visited Austrian Library of the Ilia State University. Minister started his official visit to Georgia with the visit to the Austrian Library where he met the University professors. During the meeting, the parties discussed perspectives of future cooperation in the fields of education, culture and science.
The exhibition, which was donated to the University, is dedicated to the anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize award to an Austrian writer and public figure Bertha von Suttner. She lived and worked in Georgia in 1876-1885.
Visit of the Foreign Minister of Austria will close at the Sheraton Metechi Palace with screening of the 2008 Oscar winning film by Stefan Ruzowitzky “The Counterfeiters”.
