Conference “Psychotherapy Method: Mythodrama”
Events
On April 24, Ilia State University’s Child Development Institute, the Georgian-Swiss project 'Nergi,' and the Georgian Association of Analytical Psychology will host a concluding conference titled “Psychotherapy Method: Mythodrama.”
Allan Guggenbühl - the creator of the Mythodrama method, Director of the Institute for Conflict Management and Mythodrama in Zürich, and Professor at the University of Education of the State of Zürich - will participate in the conference.
Since 2009, Ilia State University has collaborated with the Educational Counseling Center of the State of Bern (Switzerland) and its department for group psychotherapy for children and adolescents. As part of the Georgian-Swiss project “Nergi,” launched by Lela Ksovrelashvili-Schmid and David Schmid, psychological support has been provided to diverse groups of children and adolescents throughout Georgia.
The approach is primarily based on Professor Allan Guggenbühl's Mythodrama method, which uniquely integrates core elements from the work of renowned psychotherapy pioneers (Jung, Moreno).
The method has been implemented in several European and Asian countries. Its effectiveness is confirmed by the assessment tools specifically designed for it.
The conference will feature presentations prepared within the “Nergi” project, showcasing the practices of psychotherapists.
