Certificates in Information Management
On July 15, about thirty employees of different libraries were awarded certificates of “Information Management” at the conference hall of the National Parliamentary Library.
During the two weeks, they attended sessions of the summer schoo
l of Information Management held in the framework of the Tempus project “New Masters Program in Library and Information Sciences”. The Tempus project sets the goal to develop information science in Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan. Major themes of the summer school were: a. how to establish and use electronic libraries, b. how to combine library science, 
archives and basics of technology and c. how to provide marketing of the libraries and information services.
Intensive study courses were guided by experts and professors from the Universities of Barcelona, Parma and Thames Valley, Rezekna Higher Education Institution.
