Call for the papers: International Student Conference Ukraine through Modern Perspective
Ilia State University (Georgia) is hosting an International Student Conference under the title Ukraine through Modern Perspective. The conference will take place in hybrid format (online via Zoom and in Tbilisi, at Ilia State University) on June 30, 2022.
Russia’s on-going war against Ukraine, in total violation of fundamental norms of international law, sent shock waves across the entire civilized world. Kremlin’s disregard for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine has revealed grave challenges facing norms based international order and demonstrated the significance of coordinated response by international community. At the same time, recent events have revived the interest towards Ukraine, its history, economy, politics, society and culture and demonstrated importance of having deeper understanding of modern Ukrainian nation.
With this aim in mind, conference will focus on different aspects of modern Ukrainian state and society. The topics for conference will include, but are not limited to:
- Ukrainian History and Culture;
- Ukrainian Language and Literature;
- Ukrainian Society;
- Reforms in Ukraine;
- Politics of Ukraine;
- Ukraine-Russian Relations;
- Ukraine’s Foreign Policy.
Who can Participate?
- BA, MA, PhD students from Georgian and Foreign HEIs;
The working Language: English
Participants should send conference papers and CVs no later than June 20.
The authors of selected papers will be contacted no later than June 23.
Papers should be written in English.
Technical requirements to the conference papers include:
- The paper length: 1200-1500 words.
Font size: Sylfaen, 12, space between lines 1.5
Paper should include: Title, problem statement, demonstration of topic’s academic and/or applied value, discussion and analysis of major argument/s, recommendations (if relevant) and conclusion.
The citation style: Chicago style
All participants will be awarded certificates.
