Applications Open for State Education Grant for Foreign Citizens in the 2023-2024 Academic Year

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has initiated the application process for a state grant to foreign citizens enrolled in the following accredited educational programs: Integrated Undergraduate-Graduate Program in Primary Teacher Education, Integrated Master’s Program in Veterinary Medicine, and Accredited Medical Doctor/Dentist Program.

Foreign citizens who have become eligible to pursue further studies based on the 2023 Unified National Examinations can apply for funding. A person with dual citizenship can obtain funding through the program if they registered as a foreign citizen for the 2023 Unified National Examinations or declared their intent to participate in the Unified National Examinations as a foreign citizen before August 1, 2023, and have submitted the relevant document to the LEPL The National Assessment and Examinations Center.

Applications for funding will be accepted at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia until October 20, 2023, inclusive.

Each application must include the following documents:

  • A translated (into Georgian) and notarized document confirming foreign citizenship.
  • The notice issued by the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality confirming that the applicant has been granted repatriate status under the law of Georgia “On the Repatriation of Persons Involuntarily Displaced by the Former USSR from the Georgian SSR in the 1940s.”
