Open position for Georgian Studies Program Director at Harvard University Davis Center

Harvard University Davis Center seeks candidates for the open position of Georgian Studies Program Director.

Job Description:

  • Defines and executes the academic mission of the Program on Georgian Studies.
  • Responsible for developing workplans and implementation strategies; with DC staff evaluates program outputs; prepares annual report to the Davis Center and sponsoring organization.
  • Supervises a program coordinator that provides logistical and administrative support for programs, and a student research assistant that will support research and teaching activities.

Basic Qualifications:

MA in Political Science or other related field; original research and scholarly publications on Georgia history, culture, literature, and politics; experience managing undergraduate and graduate student assistants; experience making formal scholarly presentations. Must be competent in Georgian language and have significant in-country experience. 

Please consider, that the Center not be able to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Therefore, candidate should already possess US work permit.
