From May 23 to 25, the Department of Student Affairs at Ilia State University will host the spring international school, titled "Our Body and Health," at Iliauni's Stepantsminda Research Base. The school is designed for students of the Bachelor's Program in Biology and the One-Cycle Medical Doctor Program at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine. The English-language school aims to connect Georgian and international students and strengthen their relationships.

School Objective

The school will provide students with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary understanding of the human body and the processes that occur within it. It will emphasize the connection between modern biological knowledge and its practical applications. Participants will develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for studying the human body.

Professors from the relevant fields within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine at Ilia State University will conduct lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions utilizing appropriate visual aids during three days. Students will be introduced to various aspects of biomedical research, including current challenges and global trends in biomedical sciences.

Who Can Participate?

Students in the 4th to 8th semesters of the Bachelor's Program in Biology and the 2nd to 5th semesters of the One-Cycle Medical Doctor Program within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine who have active student status may apply. Students from the Biology program must demonstrate at least B1-level English proficiency. Students from both programs must submit a motivational essay in English.

Those interested in participating in the school must register via the provided link, where, in addition to submitting their contact and technical information, they must upload a 300-word essay on the topic "The Main Threat to Human Health in the 21st Century."

Faculty representatives will select participants based on their academic performance and the quality of their essay.
