RE-DIRECTION Kick Off Meeting in Georgia

On March 19-21, 2024 Georgian International University hosted a kick off meeting of the RE-DIRECTION – Redefining Higher Education on a digital context and mainstreaming a common inclusive and green structure based on EU best practices and policy recommendations project funded under the Erasmus + CBHE funding scheme. The Kick off meeting was attended by Georgian and Ukrainian HEI representatives. Ilia State University was presented by the project core team Ms. Salome Shedania (Head of Development Office), Ms. Elene Zhuravliova (Dean of Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine) and Mr. Giga Khositashvili (Deputy Library Director). The aim of the project was introduction of project deliverables and Work Packages to the consortium as well as planning and analyzing the project activities foreseen for the first year of the project implementation.
Briefly about the project
RE-DIRECTION aims at reinforcing Ukrainian and Georgian Universities with innovative forms of teaching, by redesigning and updating current curricula covering the triphasic spectrum of digitalization, sustainability and inclusivity. The project also aims:
- Development of methodological framework and policy recommendations in the field of digital transformation;
- Introduction of innovations in terms of green competencies and methods;
- Working on improving approaches to the involvement of migrants and internally displaced persons;
