Between 6–24 October 2025, staff members from Ilia State University took part in an intensive online training program titled “Pedagogical Innovation and Course Design in Digital Education.” The training brought together educators and academic developers aiming to strengthen their skills in designing, delivering, and evaluating digital learning experiences.

The course provided a comprehensive overview of key principles and practices in digital education. Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, participants explored innovative case studies and experimented with leading eLearning tools such as Moodle, Genially, Gamma, Padlet, and Wooclap.

Throughout the three-week program, participants engaged in a variety of modules focusing on foundations and principles of digital education, including its history and pedagogical evolution; Instructional design and learner engagement, emphasizing practical experimentation with digital tools; Course evaluation and reflective practice, aimed at ensuring continuous improvement in online teaching and learning.

About the project:

PRODIGE is a structural reform project that aims to introduce high-quality digital education in Georgia. The project was developed by European partner universities and 10 leading higher education institutions in Georgia, with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.

The project aims to promote digital education in Georgia through the implementation of relevant legislative changes and the strengthening of the capabilities of higher education institutions.

The project is coordinated by EFMD.
