Ilia State University School of Law Wins 2024 National Round of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

Ilia State University School of Law Team for first time in the history of the School of Law wins the 2024 Georgian National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. The team will now represent Georgia at the International Rounds of the competition, which will be held from March 30th to April 6th in Washington, D.C.
During Georgian National Rounds, Ilia State University Team competed against the teams of Tbilisi State University and Free University of Tbilisi.
Philip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition is the world's largest moot court competition, with participants from roughly 700 law schools in 100 countries and jurisdictions. The Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations.
Following students are the part of the Ilia State University School of Law Jessup Team: Ketevan Bezhanisvhili, Mariam Taganashvili, Mariam Bibiluri and Mariam Skhvitaridze. Faculty advisor of the Team is the Associate Professor of the Law School – Ms. Tinatin (Tinna) Goletiani.
