Awarding the Participants of Competitions on Development of Essays and Academic Posters

On December 22, 2023, as part of the USAID Rule of Law Program-supported initiative to develop a Georgian legal culture through the expansion of practical skills for future lawyers, the awarding ceremony was held for the participants of competitions on development of Essays and Academic Posters.

As part of the project, an essay and academic poster competition has been announced for the second time. About 15 Bachelor’s Degree students from Ilia State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and Telavi Iakob Gogebashvili State University expressed their desire to take part in the second competition. Finally, the competitors submitted four essays and two academic posters. It is worth noting that the competition participants underwent two trainings - on academic writing and on creating of academic posters.

The team of Nana Glunchadze and Maria Giunashvili took first place in the essay competition. The title of the essay they submitted was: “The Principle of Good Faith in the Contracts Law.” The second place was taken by the team of Nutsa Beraia, Mariam Bzhalava and Beka Bolkavadze, who presented an essay on the topic “Division of labor, service and employment contract.” Third place was shared by the essays of Ana Inauri and Anano Mamagulashvili. Ana Inauri presented an essay - The principle of contractual freedom in Georgia and Europe, and the title of Anano Magulashvili's essay was the regulation of moneylending in contract law.

First place in the academic poster competition was taken by the team of Nutsa Beraia, Mariam Bzhalava and Beka Bolkavadze, who developed an academic poster based on their submitted essay. And the second place was taken by Anano Magulashvili’s academic poster on the regulation of money-lending in contract law.
