The School of Medicine of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine of Ilia State University announces admission to the Dermatology and Venereology Residency Program.

Stages of Admission

First Stage: Electronic Registration

Those who wish to be admitted to the residency program must send the following documents to the e-mail address of the School of Medicine of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine: medicine@iliauni.edu.ge, by October 24 or November 10, 2022, 18:00.

List of necessary documents

  • Application addressed to the rector of the university, in which the desired program should be indicated;
  • Copy of ID card / passport;
  • A copy of a diploma certifying an academic degree obtained through a one-level program or an equivalent to it;
  • Electronic version of 3x4 size photo;
  • A copy of the certificate of correspondence or military ticket (for military servicemen);
  • Confirmation certificate/notice of the specialty seeker given as a result of passing the post-qualification examination of the unified diploma;
  • A list of modules completed within another residency program and a confirmation letter (if applicable);
  • International certificate of English language proficiency of at least B2 level (if applicable);
  • Iliauni recognizes the following internationally valid certificates proving English language proficiency of at least B2 level: (TOEFL (P/B at least 513 score; I/BT at least 65 score); IELTS (at least 5.5); at least FCE); or a relevant valid certificate issued by the National Assessment and Examinations Center, which confirms the candidate's English language competence at the minimum B2 level considered by the program; or a diploma confirming completion of an English-language Bachelor's or Master's program;
  • Documents confirming the implementation of medical activities (if applicable).

Second Stage: Interview with the admission committee with the following composition

The interview before the admission committee will be held at Ilia State University on November 16, 2022 (Cholokashvili Ave. N3/5).

Detailed information about the terms of the interview will be posted on the website of the university in the “News” section on November 14.

The results of the interview will be published on the website of the university on November 17, 2021.

Submitting a complaint letter in connection with the results of the interview

The applicant must submit a complaint letter about the results of the interview at the University Chancellery (address: Cholokashvili Avenue N3/5) on November 18, 2022 (from 10:00 to 18:00).

The complaint letters of the applicants will be considered by the Board of the School of Medicine on November 21, 2021.

The final assessments of the interview, taking into account the results of the appeal, as well as the list of candidates for admission to the residency program according to the identification number assigned to the applicant, will be published in the “News” section of the faculty’s website on November 22.

Residency start date: December 1, 2022

Signing the Contract

The contract with the enrolling candidates will be signed in room H-118 (address: Cholokashvili Avenue N3/5) on November 24, 2022.

Candidates enrolling in the residency program must have the following documents when signing the contract:

  • ID card or passport (original and its copy);
  • Two 3x4 photographs;
  • A notarized copy of a diploma certifying an academic degree obtained through a one-level program in Medicine or an equivalent to it or, if the diploma has not yet been issued, a certificate of degree awarding issued by a higher education institution, in which the number and date of the decision on the awarding of the qualification must be specified, and in the case of having received higher education abroad - a document issued by the National Center For Educational Quality Enhancement on the recognition of education received abroad (original);
  • A list of modules completed within another residency program and a confirmation letter (if applicable);
  • International certificate of English language proficiency (if applicable);
  • Original document confirming being on military registration (only for men);
  • In the event that an authorized person presents the documents and signs the contract instead of the applicant, he/she must bring a notarized power of attorney.

Note: without presenting the indicated documents, the candidate won't be able to sign the contract, which is a necessary prerequisite for enrolling in the residency program of Ilia State University.
