New generation of forest growth models.
After presenting sustainable forest management criteria and indicators, as well as forest and the land-use atlas of Georgia (https://atlas.mepa.gov.ge/), the speakers will discuss the possibilities of applying the indicators to the forest and land-use atlas. The second part of the event will be devoted to available and necessary data for forest growth modelling, such as data extraction tables, remotely sensed data, national forest inventory, dendrochronic data, etc. Finally, state of the art approaches to forest growth modelling will be presented, to facilitate decision-making in the process of sustainable forest management.
