SUMMER SCHOOL REGIONAL CONFLICTS AND PEACE PROSPECTS
School of Arts and Sciences of Ilia State University announces admission to the English language Summer School Programme Regional Conflicts and Peace Prospects that will be held on 10-17 June 2018 in Kiev and Odessa.
The School aims to expand students’ knowledge on ongoing regional conflicts and peace prospects in the post-Soviet space as well as to promote raising of their awareness on peacekeeping tools with regard to current political processes in the region and resolution of the existing conflicts.
Lectures for those participating in the Summer School Programme will be read by professors and experts from different countries, such as Norway, Kirgizia, Ukraine, Georgia, etc.
The School will be held under the aegis of the Institute for Peace Studies at Tromsø University, Institute for Social and Political Psychology in Kiev, Odessa State University and Ilia State University.
Who can participate in the Summer School Programme:
Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral students with appropriate level of English who study at the faculty of social sciences can participate in the Programme.
School will be held on 10-17 June.
Number of vacant places: 3
All school related expenses (transportation, accommodation, catering) will be covered by the Committee organizing the School.
The Summer School Programme participants will be selected on the basis of their applications and an interview.

- Resume (CV);
- Cover letter in the English language;
- Essay of a maximum of 1000 words on conflict resolution prospects in any post-Soviet country (in the English language).
In the event of achieving success in the first stage of the selection process, an interview will be scheduled for applicants on 10-12 April.
