ILIAUNI BUSINESS SCHOOL AND FORBES SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED

News

On May 14, the final of joint scholarship competition aBItour (at which different business ideas were presented) by Ilia State University and business magazine Forbes was held. 

Around 100 high school seniors participated in the competition, with 7 teams vying for the winners’ trophy in the semi-final.

The university entrants introduced the jury members to extremely interesting and innovative projects, and finally 3 finalists were nominated.

I Place - Team MCE (Make Communication Easy)

MCE Box designed by the team is a device aiming to create the environment adapted for individuals with hearing impairments. The device detects movements through gesture language and generates them into texts.

Each team member Mariam Charkalashvili, student at Tbilisi N150 Public School, Sopiko Petriashvili, student at village Sareki (Sachkere) public school and Nino Shavdia, student at N151 Public School were granted 1000 GEL scholarship voucher from Ilia State University.

II Place - Team Follow Me

The team presented the jury members with the innovative tourist project.

Each team member, Tamuna Panchulidze, Tkibuli N6 Public School student, Matiam Dzadzua, Tbilisi N54 Public School student and Tornike Jajajnidze, Tbilisi Vladimir Komarovi N199 Public School student received 800 GEL scholarship voucher. The scholarship was introduced by Bitfury Company.

III Place - Team QR Guide

The team presented the jury members with the innovative tourist project.

Each team member, Tbilisi N150 public school student Giorgi Gigilashvili, Tbilisi N120 Public School student, Rusudan Gongadze and Tbilisi N119 Public School student, Lasha Lekveishvili were granted ISU 650 GEL scholarship voucher.

All semi-finalists were awarded Iliauni 3-day tour in Kazbegi, where they will participate in the interesting intellectual programme.
