On October 20, Ilia State University launches a weekly cycle of meetings called Lectura Dantis, at which The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri will be thoroughly read and analyzed.
Prof. Nodar Ladaria almost followed through with his translation of this most important book of European and world literature, and precisely his work, which has not yet been published, will be subjected to analysis and discussion.
The meeting aims to analyze Dante as a distinguished figure in European culture in order to better perceive today’s notion of Europe.
The meeting will be attended by Ilia State University professors, Giga Zedania, Nodar Ladaria, Malkhaz Solghuashvili, Nino Pirtskalava, Levan Tsagareli, and Emzar Jgerenaia.
The meetings are planned to be held each Friday, at 18:30, Ilia State University Book house Ligamus (Chavchavadze Ave., 32).
All are welcome to attend the event.
